Peak when it counts!

Joining our running club is like getting together with an informal group of friends that provide mutual encouragement and support when you need it most. We meet up to 3 times every week for fresh new workouts on the roads, tracks, and trails around Boulder County. We explore all the open space, mountain parks and scenic running venues around Boulder Valley. 

Distance running may be the ultimate individual pursuit yet, for many of us, it’s the epitome of community. Why not bring the two streams together?

Connecting with other people expands your knowledge base and gives you a motive for staying with your training. Choosing to run with other people at a conversational pace is the best way of controlling your speed while you enjoy their company and model their great running form and relaxed rhythmic breathing. There’s a silent bond formed from your time spent running with friends. It gives you a carefree, “can-do” attitude, a steady inner drive and a strong sense of self when you’re on your own.

Train hard – Run easy

 One of the trickiest parts of coaching a group is the art of individualizing within the group structure. To watch the runners closely, offer encouragement, take advantage of teaching moments and decide exactly when to loosen the demands of the workout for each person. This way everyone works that small bit beyond their comfort zone, together. So they never overtrain but they also never undertrain. Every workout can be a good workout as long as everyone puts in the right amount of effort.
